Look at the bell first
Dakik writes every notification into the app first: it shows on the bell in the top bar and on the Notifications page. In-app notifications are always on and cannot be turned off.
- If the notification is on the bell but did not reach your phone or computer, the problem is this device's push setting; go on to the steps below.
- If it is not on the bell either, that event does not notify you. Edit notification templates explains which notification goes to whom.
Check this device's status
Open Settings from your profile menu and go to the Preferences page.
The Push Notifications card is there.
Read the status under the Push notifications switch.
The status is one of those in the list below.
- Allowed
- All is well. If notifications stopped arriving after a while, press Register This Device Again.
- Off
- Turn on Push notifications and allow it in the browser’s prompt. A "Push notifications are on" message appears.
- Blocked
- The browser blocked notifications for this site. Allow them in the site settings in the address bar, then press Register This Device Again.
- The app is not installed on this device
- Permission was given but this browser’s registration is missing. Press Register This Device Again; if the status stays, close Dakik and open it again (in a browser, refreshing the page is enough) and press the button once more.
- This browser does not support them
- This browser cannot receive push notifications. Try another browser; for an iPhone or iPad, see below.
- While a tab is open
- Notifications only arrive while Dakik is open in a tab. In a demo studio this is always the case.
On an iPhone or iPad
On an iPhone or iPad, push notifications need Dakik added to the home screen from Safari and opened from there. A Safari tab or another browser cannot receive them. Once it is on the home screen, open Dakik from its icon and turn on Push notifications there: Add the app to your home screen.
If the status is right but nothing arrives
| What may be the cause? | What to do? |
|---|---|
| Quiet hours: push notifications created between 22:00 and 08:00 studio time are held until after 08:00. | Wait. Waitlist offers and urgent notifications, such as a canceled session that starts at 10:00 the next morning or earlier, arrive at night too. |
| The studio turned off the push channel of this notification. | An Owner or Admin can turn on its Push switch in the Message Templates table on Settings › Notifications: Edit notification templates. |
| The notification is a kind shown in the app only. | Trial class sign-ups and their follow-ups, chats the WhatsApp assistant hands over, and the assistant’s quota warnings are not sent by push. Follow them on the bell. |
| You signed out on this device. | Signing out removes this device’s registration. After signing in again, check the Push notifications switch. |
Notification sound
The Notification sound switch in Push Notifications plays a sound on this device when an important notification arrives.
- The sound is turned on separately on each device and starts off.
- It only plays while Dakik is open in a tab.
- Only urgent notifications make a sound, such as a session being canceled or changed.
If they still do not arrive
WhatsApp messages are a separate channel and go to members only: WhatsApp messages are not sending. If push notifications still do not arrive after all of the above, contact our support team with your device, your browser and the status shown under Push Notifications.
