How is the class value of a package calculated?
The class value is the package price divided by its credits: an 8-class package sold for 3,600 TL has a class value of 450 TL. Comparing it with the single-class price gives the package discount, and multiplying the difference by the number of classes gives what a member saves by buying the package instead.
| Figure | Calculation |
|---|---|
| Class value | Package price ÷ credits |
| Discount on a single class | 1 - class value ÷ single-class price |
| Member saves | Credits × single-class price - package price |
What does one class cost in a 4, 8 and 12-class package?
In the calculator's opening example, with a single class at 600 TL, a 4-class package at 2,000 TL has a class value of 500 TL, an 8-class package at 3,600 TL 450 TL and a 12-class package at 4,800 TL 400 TL. The discount grows to about 17%, 25% and 33%, and the member saves 400 TL, 1,200 TL and 2,400 TL. The amounts are an example, not market prices.
| Package | Package price | Class value | Discount on a single class | Member saves |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4-class package | 2,000 TL | 500 TL | 17% | 400 TL |
| 8-class package | 3,600 TL | 450 TL | 25% | 1,200 TL |
| 12-class package | 4,800 TL | 400 TL | 33% | 2,400 TL |
The single class is taken at 600 TL. The amounts are the calculator's opening values and only an example; the discount is rounded to the nearest whole percent.
How low can the price of a class package go?
A package's class value should not fall below the instructor pay per seat plus the fixed costs per seat. For example, a studio paying 100 TL per participant whose fixed costs come to 200 TL per seat has a floor of 300 TL, so a 12-class package with a 400 TL class value stays above it. The break-even calculator gives the cost per seat and the pay calculator the pay.

What changes when pricing Credit, Duration and Trial packages?
In a Credit or Trial package the class value follows from the price divided by the credits. A Duration package has no set number of classes, so its price is divided by its weeks times its weekly class limit, counting one a week when unlimited. A free Trial package has a class value of zero: a revenue-share instructor earns nothing for that seat, so the cost of the trial class stays with the studio.
- Credit
- Package price ÷ credits
- Duration
- Package price ÷ (weeks × weekly class limit); one class a week with no limit
- Trial
- Package price ÷ credits; zero for a free trial
How do you set a package price step by step?
A package price is built upwards from the floor: find the cost per seat, set the single-class price clearly above it, then place each package's class value between the floor and the single class. The discount can grow with the package, but even the largest package should stay above the floor. Finally, check every package side by side in the calculator.
Find the floor
Add up the instructor pay and the fixed costs per seat; no package should have a class value below it.
Set the single-class price
Keep the single-class price clearly above the floor; every package discount is measured against it.
Tier the packages
Build packages around how often members come each week and lower the class value step by step as the credits grow.
Check them in the calculator
See the class value, the discount and the member saving side by side, and confirm the largest package stays above the floor.
Where does Dakik use the package price and class value?
In Dakik the class value of a Credit package is its price divided by its credits, and that of a Duration package is its price divided by the weeks it runs times its weekly class limit. That value is what each attended seat counts for in revenue-share instructor pay, so the figure a studio prices with here is the one it later reads in pay.

Frequently asked questions
How much higher should a single class be than a package?
There is no rule, but keeping the single-class price clearly above the smallest package's class value makes the saving of buying a package visible. The calculator's discount column shows that gap as a percentage.
How do you find the class value of a monthly unlimited package?
A Duration package has no set number of classes, so its class value is worked out from its length: divide the price by the weeks it runs times its weekly class limit. A started week counts as a whole one, and with no limit one class a week is counted. A 30-day unlimited package at 4,000 TL counts as 5 weeks, so its class value is 4,000 ÷ 5 = 800 TL.
How big a discount should a larger package carry?
Enough to be covered by the cash up front and the longer commitment a larger package brings. A package whose class value falls below instructor pay and the fixed costs per class loses money on every sale.
What happens when a package price doesn't divide evenly by its credits?
The class value rounds down to the kuruş. A 3-class package at 1,000 TL, for example, has a class value of 333.33 TL. Dakik rounds the same way in instructor pay, so the figure in the calculator is the one the App reads.
How does a studio that sells no single classes use the calculator?
Class values can be compared without a single-class price. With the single class set to 0 the discount column stays empty and the member saving loses its meaning, while the class value column still shows what one class costs in each package.
