Everyday use
What studios ask most about setup, moving members across, cancellation and make-up rules, instructor pay and collecting payment.
When you sign up, the setup wizard collects your studio details; once your classes, rooms and packages are defined, the schedule is ready to run. Notification templates arrive ready to use, and you add your staff and your members by email invitation. If you teach as well, one checkbox during setup opens your own instructor record.
Dakik's team helps every studio move its existing members across with their open packages and the credits already used, and on the Pro tier it stays with you one-on-one through setup and data migration. The Excel or Google Sheets list you already keep is enough for that; the free member list template shows what is needed: the member's name, phone and classes and the package's name, dates, price and credits already used. Confirming the remaining credits with members before the switch keeps the first week free of arguments.
Yes; the rules live in the package definition: how many hours before the class it can be canceled, how many times a week or over the life of the package, whether a make-up credit is granted and how many days it has to be used within. A member cancels or reschedules from their own panel only inside that rule; anything outside it is closed to them, and only the Owner or an Admin can go past the rule, by writing down a reason. Changing the rule on a package later does not affect the members who bought it earlier.
A booking holds the class credit; the credit leaves the package once attendance is taken or the class takes place. On a cancellation inside the rule the credit returns to the Make-up Pool and the member moves it to another session inside the rescheduling window; on a cancellation outside the rule it does not come back. When the studio cancels the class, the held credit goes straight back to the package; if the session chosen is full, the member joins the waitlist and hears in turn as soon as a spot opens.
It is calculated from attendance automatically, so no calculator is needed at the end of the month. You choose between five models: Monthly Fixed, Weekly Fixed, Per Class, Per Participant and Revenue Share. If an instructor's terms change mid-month, every class is calculated against the definition in force on its own date; the unpaid balance is always in view, and the payment you make is recorded as an expense.
The studio connects its own WhatsApp number; booking confirmations, class reminders, cancellations and waitlist messages then reach the member on their own. Which notification goes over WhatsApp and which over in-app push is set per template, and the wording is edited with variables such as the member name and the class name. With no connection in place no message is sent, and the notification still shows inside the app.
No; Dakik runs in the browser, and your member downloads nothing from a store. They open the link you send, choose "Add to Home Screen" and use it like an app, with class reminders arriving as push notifications. From their own panel a member sees their remaining credits, their make-up credits and what they owe; they cancel a class inside the rule, reschedule it or freeze their package.
No; Dakik takes no card payments and issues no invoices to your members - you record the payment yourself. Every payment you take in cash, by transfer or on a card terminal is entered with its payment method and its account; you can split what is left into installments and follow the ones coming due and the ones overdue. Your official invoicing and accounting stay exactly as they are.
Pricing and payment
The trial period, how the active member count is worked out, changing tiers and how payment flows.
Yes; every studio gets its first 30 days free with every Pro feature, without handing over card details, and no active-member or branch limit applies during the trial, so you can bring your whole member list across in comfort. At the end of it you pick the tier that matches your active member and branch counts; paying yearly takes 20% off. If you do not decide, access stops - but nothing you entered is deleted, and you carry on where you left off.
Every feature of the Pro tier, the WhatsApp Assistant included, is open during the trial, with no active-member or branch limit. At the end of it you pick the tier that fits your studio, and everything you entered during the trial stays exactly as it was. After the trial the WhatsApp Assistant is available on the Pro tier only.
An active member is one who has not been deactivated and holds a running package; a frozen package counts as running. The limit counts the active members of every branch of your business together. Members with no package yet or whose package has ended do not count, nor do inactive members, and whether a member has an email or has accepted their invitation makes no difference. A member whose package ends drops out of the count on their own, so you never have to deactivate members or delete old records to make room. "Active Members" on the Overview page uses the same definition but shows only the branch you are in. The limit is weighed only on a paid subscription and only on a step that would make a member active: giving a package to a member with no running one, a new booking from the trial class page, or making an inactive member active again while their package is still running. Adding a new member never runs into the limit, and the members of a studio that goes over it are never deactivated on their own.
You move up a tier once your active member or branch count reaches the limit of your own, or when you want the WhatsApp Assistant; getting in touch with us is all it takes, and your data and settings stay exactly as they were. When your member count falls, you can move down a tier in the next payment period. You do not have to pick a tier during the trial; before the 30 days are up, you write to us and pick the tier that fits your studio.
Subscription payment is not collected inside the application at this stage; we send you reminder emails before the trial ends, you write to us to carry on, and the payment and invoicing steps of the tier you chose are completed over email. Monthly billing is taken every month; yearly billing is a single payment with 20% off. There is no automatic renewal; your subscription is not extended until a payment is recorded.
When a studio signs up through the link on the Invite a Studio page under Settings in the app and makes its first payment, both studios get 30 days of free use added to their subscription. Studios still on their trial can invite too; the inviting side earns at most 12 rewards a year. The full rules are on the Referral Program page of this site.
