The Account and Preferences pages
Your account settings are on two pages of the Settings window; Owners, Admins, Staff and members all use the same pages. Open the window by choosing Settings from your profile menu at the top right, on a computer by pressing the Settings row in the System group at the foot of the menu on the left, or with the ⌘, shortcut (Ctrl+, on Windows); it opens over the page you are on. For Owners, Admins and Staff the second row of the group is Support: it opens your requests to the Dakik team, and this Help Center is reached from there too. For members that row is Help, which opens the Help Center in a new tab. Collapse, the last row of the group, folds the menu down to its icons, and Expand in the same place opens it again. Pressing a group title in the menu (for example Finance) hides the pages of that group and pressing it again shows them; going to a page in a hidden group opens the group. This browser remembers both choices.
- The Account page: the Profile and Sign In and Security cards.
- The Preferences page: the Appearance and Push Notifications cards. Members also get the WhatsApp Preferences card.
- On a computer the pages are in the menu on the left of the window; Owners and Admins see these two under My Account. On a phone the window opens on a list of pages: tap a row to open the page, and use the back arrow in the header to return to the list.
- The Legal Documents page stands at the foot of the menu for everyone; on a phone it is the last row of the list.
Update your profile
The top of the Profile card shows your name, your role and your studio. The fields below depend on the kind of account you have:
- Anyone with a staff record (the Staff role, and an Owner or Admin who teaches): a photo, Full Name and Phone. Your title shows but is set by the studio management.
- Members: a photo, Full Name, Phone, Gender and Date of Birth. Your health notes you change on the Personal Details card of the Profile page in your menu: Your member panel.
- An Owner or Admin who does not teach: Full Name only.
Change the fields you want.
Press Save at the bottom of the card.
The message "Your profile is updated" appears.
Change or set your password
The Password row of the Sign In and Security card shows Change if you have a password, or Set if you signed up with Google and have none.
In the Password row, press Change.
The Change Password window opens.
Type your current password into Current Password.
Type the new one into New Password and New Password (Again). It needs at least 8 characters.
Press Update Password.
The message "Your password was updated" appears. Your sessions on other devices are signed out; this device stays signed in.
Change your sign-in email
To change your email address your account needs a password. Without one, the Sign-in Email row asks you to set a password first.
In the Sign-in Email row, press Change.
The Change Sign-in Email window opens.
Type the new address into New Email and your password into Password.
Press Send the Verification Link.
A verification link goes to the new address and the row says Waiting for verification.
Open the link in the email that arrives at the new address.
Your sign-in email changes, and your sessions on other devices are signed out.
- Until you confirm the link, you keep signing in with your current address.
- The link is valid for 24 hours. If the email did not arrive choose Send Again; if you changed your mind choose Cancel.
Link your Google account
Link your Google account under Linked Accounts to sign in with Google instead of typing a password.
Press the link button in the Google row.
Google's consent screen opens.
Choose the Google account that uses the same email address as your Dakik account, and confirm.
You come back to Dakik on the Account page, and the row shows the account as linked.
Language, theme and notifications
- On the Appearance card of the Preferences page, choose Türkçe or English as your Language. Screens, notifications and emails all arrive in this language.
- On the same card, choose System, Light or Dark as your Theme. System follows your device.
- Language and theme are saved to your account, so they apply on every device you sign in on.
- The Push Notifications card manages the push notifications of your account and the Notification sound of the device you are using: In-app and desktop notifications.
- The Legal Documents page opens the Privacy Policy, the Terms of Use and the Cookie Policy in a new tab.
