Before you start
- Freeze rules are part of the package definition; only users with the Owner or Admin role can set them.
- Trial packages cannot be frozen, so the setting does not appear on the form.
Set the freeze right
On Business › Packages, press the package card.
The Edit Package window opens. For a new package, use Add Package.
Under Make-up, Freeze and Seat Hold Period, choose Freezable for the Membership Freeze Right.
The Freeze Count and Freeze Length fields open.
Under Freeze Count, enter how many times the package can be frozen.
Under Freeze Length, enter how many days one freeze can last at most.
Press Save.
A "Package updated" message appears.
How the rules are applied
- Every freeze uses one of the allowed freezes, however short it is. Once the Freeze Count is used up, the package cannot be frozen again. A freeze canceled before it starts gives its freeze back (Freeze a member's package).
- The days of a freeze count both its first and last day, and cannot exceed the Freeze Length.
- A freeze cannot start in the past or after the package end date.
- Freezes cannot overlap. While a package is frozen, a new freeze can only be scheduled after the current one ends.
A frozen package's end date moves out by the length of the freeze. Bookings inside the freeze are removed and their credits go back to the package.
Who freezes a package?
The studio freezes a package that allows it from the member's page (Freeze a member's package). The member can also freeze their own package with Freeze My Package on their Profile page. The rules are the same on both sides, and staff cannot go past them either.
