What an inactive member means
- The member cannot sign in, and their open sessions end.
- They cannot be given a package or a partner card, be assigned to a session, or have a package frozen.
- Their waitlist entries close.
- Their health notes are deleted; no health notes are kept for an inactive member.
- They do not count toward the active member limit of a paid plan, even while a package of theirs is running.
- Their past classes, packages and payments stay as they are. The member stays on the list as Inactive.
Deactivate the member
Choose Edit from the member's row menu on the Members page, or Edit Member from the More actions (⋯) menu on the member page.
The Edit Member window opens.
Set the Status to Inactive.
Press Save.
Without upcoming bookings, a "The member details were updated" message appears. With them, the There are active bookings window opens.
If the member has upcoming bookings
The There are active bookings window lists the member's upcoming bookings and series memberships, and offers three choices:
- Remove the Bookings and Deactivate: the bookings are removed, the credits go back to the packages, the series memberships end and the instructors are notified. Freed seats are offered to the waitlist.
- Just Deactivate: the existing bookings and series memberships stay exactly as they are.
- Cancel: nothing is saved and the form stays open.
Make the member active again
Open the Edit Member window.
Set the Status to Active.
Press Save.
A "The member details were updated" message appears and the member is active again.
- A member who had signed in before can sign in again with their old email and password.
- For a member who never activated their account, it goes back to Invitation Pending and the invitation email is sent again; the save message says so too. A demo studio sends no invitation, and the message says that instead.
- A member added without an email goes back to No Email, and no invitation is sent. If you type their address into the Email Address field before saving, the invitation goes there.
- The health notes deleted on deactivation do not come back; enter them again if needed.
