Before you start
- Only Owners and Admins can delete a member. Users with the Staff role do not see the option.
- The member has to be inactive first: Deactivate a member.
- The member must have no open debt. Collect or cancel any open debt first.
Delete the member
On the member page, open the More actions (⋯) menu and choose Delete Member.
The delete confirmation opens.
Type the member's name into Type the member's name to confirm.
Once the name matches, Delete for Good becomes available. Upper and lower case do not matter.
Press Delete for Good.
A "Member deleted" message appears and the member leaves the list.
What happens to the member's records
Dakik takes one of two paths, depending on the member's history:
- If the member has no booking, package, make-up credit, series membership, debt or payment at all (a record opened by mistake, say), the member and their account are deleted outright.
- If there is any such record, their personal details are deleted. The bookings, packages and finance records stay and show as "Deleted Member", so your books and attendance history do not change.
If the member came through the trial class page, the email address or phone number they took the trial with cannot book on your studio's trial class page again, even after the deletion. For this Dakik does not keep the address or the number, only a trace of them that cannot be turned back into either.
