Payments and installments

In Dakik the studio takes the payment and records it: the member pays in cash, by card or by bank transfer, and you enter it with its method and account in Take a Payment. A package sale is paid now or recorded as debt over 2, 3, 6 or 12 installments. Open installments wait on Open Receivables with their due dates, and members are reminded as one comes due. Members never pay in the app.

  • Recorded with method and account

Every payment is saved with how it was paid (cash, card, transfer) and the till or bank account it went into.

  • Selling on installments

A package is paid in one go or split into 2, 3, 6 or 12 installments; each installment is a row of its own.

  • Coming due, past due

Open Receivables shows the days left or the delay on every installment, with the totals at the top.

  • Due-date reminders

A reminder goes once to the member and the managers, as many days ahead as you choose.

How do you set up an installment plan?

When a package is sold with Record as Debt, or for less than its price, the rest becomes a debt on installments. Under Installments you choose Single payment or 2, 3, 6 or 12; the amount is split evenly, the first due today and the last on the Final Due Date you pick. Each installment then sits on Open Receivables as its own row, with its due date, what is left and its status.

  1. Take a Payment

Choose Take a Payment from the member's row menu or their member page; the window opens with the member filled in.

  2. Record as Debt

Under What to do, choose Record as Debt and enter the Amount Owed and the number of installments.

  3. Final Due Date and save

Pick the last due date, check the Installment plan table and press Save the Debt.

The number of installments cannot change later. An Owner or Admin can edit the due date, amount and note of an installment, or cancel it; whatever was already collected stays as income.

Where do you see what is coming due and what is overdue?

The two cards at the top of Finance › Open Receivables add up every open installment: Past Due (overdue) and Upcoming Payments. Below them each installment is a row, and the Status column gives the days left or the delay, such as '3 days overdue'. Pressing a row opens the payment window with that installment chosen. On the member page, the Debt tile and the Needs Attention card show the same debt.

  • The Status filter offers Open receivables, Overdue only, Pending, Partially Paid, Paid, Canceled or All; the Member filter narrows the list to one member
  • The Debt tile on the member page is green with nothing owed, amber while owing and red once a due date has passed
  • Needs Attention carries Overdue payment and Payment due soon lines, each with a Take a Payment button
  • Export (CSV) downloads the list with the filters applied
  • The page is for Owners and Admins; Staff take payments from members but do not see the list
