How are branches kept apart in a multi-branch studio?
Every branch is a studio in its own right: it has its own rooms, classes, packages, members, staff and finance, and no branch sees the records of another. What holds the branches together is the business above them, where the subscription, the active member cap and the owner's account live. That separation stops a mistake or a rush in one branch from spilling into the next.
- Separate per branch
- Rooms, classes, the calendar, packages, members, staff, instructor pay, collections and expenses.
- Shared by the business
- The owner's account, the subscription, the active member cap and switching between branches.
- Copied at opening
- The logo, privacy notice, reminder settings and notification templates.
Copied settings can be changed in each branch separately after opening. Changing the reminder time in one branch does not affect the others.
How do you look after several branches with one sign-in?
The studio owner signs in with one account and moves between branches with the branch switcher in the top bar; there is no separate password per branch. The switcher appears once a second branch is opened. In the branch switched to, the owner keeps the same Owner rights and the screens show only that branch's data, so the records of two branches never mix on one screen.
- One account, one password: the owner reaches every branch with the same sign-in
- The branch switcher sits in the top bar and appears with the second branch
- In the branch switched to, the screens show only that branch's data
- A suspended branch cannot be switched to
A practical rule for the owner's day: look at each branch's daily screen in turn in the morning, and during the day stay in the branch you are working in. Switching is quick, but trying to do two branches' work at once is the shortest way to put a member or a payment in the wrong branch.
What do you prepare when opening a new branch?
A new branch is opened with a form: name, phone, email, address and working hours. The logo, the privacy notice, the reminder settings and the notification templates are copied from the branch it is opened from. Rooms, classes, packages, staff and members are entered separately, because every branch sets its timetable and prices to its own conditions.
Open the branch
Enter the name, phone, email, address and working hours; the logo and notification settings come across on their own.
Define rooms and classes
Enter the new branch's rooms, equipment and the classes it will run; capacity follows the equipment.
Set up packages
Define packages for the new branch's prices and timetable; another branch's packages are not sold here.
Invite the staff
Add the instructors and staff who will work in the branch and give each the role their work needs.
Load the timetable and members
Set up the weekly sessions, add the members and announce the opening date.
Give the new branch a distinct name; two branches of the same business cannot share one. Adding the neighborhood to the branch name helps members and the team tell which branch they are in.
How do the subscription and the branch limit work?
All branches run on a single subscription: a new branch gets no trial of its own, and when the subscription ends every branch locks together. How many branches can be opened depends on the plan, and the top plan has no branch limit. The limit is only checked when a new branch is opened, so a business that moves to a smaller plan keeps the branches it already has.
- One subscription covers every branch
- A new branch does not get a trial of its own
- The plan sets how many branches can be opened; the top plan has no branch limit
- When the subscription ends, every branch locks together

How are active members counted across branches?
The active member cap applies to the whole business, not to each branch: every branch's members who are not inactive and hold a running package are added up and compared with it. At the cap, no branch can give a package to a member without a running one or reactivate an inactive member with a running package; new members can still be added. A business nearing its cap should watch the total of all branches.
| Branch | Active | No package or inactive | Counted toward the cap |
|---|---|---|---|
| Branch A | 140 | 35 | 140 |
| Branch B | 90 | 20 | 90 |
| Branch C | 45 | 10 | 45 |
| Total | 275 | 65 | 275 |
In this example the number compared with the plan's cap is 275; the 65 members with no package or set to inactive do not count. That Branch A on its own sits well under the cap changes nothing, because the cap applies to the business, not to each branch. A member whose package ends drops out of the count on their own, so there is no need to set members to inactive to keep room under the cap.
The figures in the table are an example. No active member cap applies during the trial, so that every existing member can be brought in at the start.

How do you schedule an instructor who teaches in two branches?
Because branches are separate studios, an instructor who works in two of them has a separate staff record in each, and their schedule and pay are worked out in each branch on its own. The clash check also works inside one branch and does not see the other branch's classes. So the hours the instructor spends in the other branch go in as a weekly instructor block in each.
- A separate staff record is opened in each branch
- An email address belongs to one account; the second branch invites them with another address
- Pay is worked out separately in each branch, from that branch's classes and pay terms
- The hours spent in the other branch are closed with a weekly instructor block in each
Include the travel time between branches in the block: if the instructor's class in Branch A ends at 12:00, enter the block in Branch B so that it covers the journey, not just the class hour.
Should each branch keep its own finances?
Yes: each branch keeps its own collections, expenses, cash accounts and instructor payments. That shows plainly which branch makes money and which is being carried. For shared costs such as accounting, advertising or central management, set a rule from the start: either they are booked to one branch, or they are split between branches at an agreed ratio.
- Collections and expenses in each branch's own books
- Instructor payments from the branch the instructor works in
- A split rule for shared costs, set from the start
- The business total, by putting the branches' summaries side by side
A newly opened branch is often carried by the older branch's earnings in its first months. The way to keep that support visible is not to mix the two branches' finances: if the new branch's gap stays in its own books, the month it breaks even can be read from its own figures too.

How are multiple branches managed in Dakik?
In Dakik only the Owner, the person who set up the studio, opens, deletes and switches between branches. The Studio › Branches screen lists every branch with its number of active members. Each branch runs as a studio of its own, while the subscription and the active member cap are shared by all of them. During the trial neither the branch limit nor the member cap applies.
- Opening, deleting and switching branches, and the branch details, are open only to the Owner
- The Branches screen lists every branch with its active member count
- A new branch takes over the logo, privacy notice, reminder settings and notification templates
- A deleted branch's data is kept; to reopen it, write to the support team
- The active member cap applies to the total of all branches
- No branch can be opened in the demo studio
Frequently asked questions
Is the data of a closed branch deleted?
No. A deleted branch is closed and its users are signed out, but its data is kept; to reopen it, you write to the Dakik support team. Deleting is confirmed by typing the branch name. The branch you are in and the last remaining branch cannot be deleted; to close one, switch to another branch first.
What role should a branch manager get?
A branch manager is added in their own branch as an Admin or Staff. Staff runs the day-to-day work: the calendar, bookings, attendance and members. To see the branch's finances or manage its classes, packages and staff, they need to be an Admin. Even then, opening, deleting and switching branches and the branch details stay with the Owner; the manager works only inside their own branch.
Can a member attend two branches?
Branches do not see each other's members or packages, and a package sold in one branch is not used in the other branch's classes. An email address belongs to a single account in Dakik, so a member's record is kept in one branch. For members who regularly attend both, decide up front which branch holds the record and how classes in the other branch are charged.
Does a new branch copy the main branch's classes and packages?
No. The logo, privacy notice, reminder settings and notification templates are copied to a new branch; classes, rooms, packages and staff are not. That is deliberate: a new branch usually has a different number of rooms, different equipment and different prices. Members are not copied either; they are added to the new branch separately.
